Title: clocks go back this weekend
Post by: GRACELAND on October 28, 2010, 16:38:22
A poll conducted for the Mayor of London revealed that over 60 per cent of Londoners would prefer the clocks not to be put back in winter. However, whether we like it or not it's that time of year again and the clocks are indeed going back by one hour, at 2am on Sunday 31st October 2010

The only clocks I have to change are on 'pooters and 'phones. the one in the van stays on greenwich mean time.
after all, isn't midday when the sun is at it's zenith?
bloody BST, why? (it ain't for the farmers, they work 24/7 during harvest)

We know!!!!

Do you have to remind us?

It must be the one day in the year all gardeners dread - the "official" start of winter....

Early dark nights >:( :(

Gardening time severely cut short - hate it when the clocks go back.

I really hate this clock thing already I'm dreading it. Takes me about a week or more to get used to it  and it takes my dog even longer. Whish they'd leave it alone.

Grrrrr-so depressing when it goes dark so early. i say things like i will get up earlier to get started gardening to make up for the lost time. But that doesn't happen!! Wish they would just leave it on BST.  Of course the next thing to look forward to is C**********s!!! Not me I'm going to celebrate the return of the sun instead. Been married to Bah Humbug for 19 years!

My seeds from Organic Garden Catalogue came yesterday! now that cheers me up!!!!

I heard something on the radio the other day about the old "Are you a glass half full or glass half empty type of person" well there is a new category which is "no one gave me a glass"!!! ;D

Off to plot now. :)

Not to sure I like the short nights.

But hey until the earth stops wobbling I suppose we will have to put up with it.

So early to the allotment tomorrow morning.

Was really cross this morning- got up at 8 as usual to make a cup of tea, then realised it was only 7. Felt as if I'd been cheated, don't think I've ever forgotten before- must be my age!

Welcome to the early risers club :D

Unfortunately, I don't think they give out membership packs any more.  I must admit that I would be more than happy to leave the clox at BST.
