Title: Pointed Cabbage
Post by: lillian on October 23, 2010, 09:42:40
Bought a tray of pointed cabbage plants from the garden centre. Not much information given on the label and I just wondered do I need to give then some winter protection? ???

There are several hardy "Spring" pointed cabbages... so they should be fine if they are selling them now as "Spring Cabbage plants"...  :-X

May be worth protecting them from pigeons, rabbits, slugs etc.

Might be Hispi or Greyhound, they tend not to end up very large,  and are nice and sweet.
Whatever cabbage you grow will end up looking/surviving better with a little protection.
