I think I would choose Paul O Grady.
Duke :)
He'd be an excellent choice but I suspect they're grooming Anton.
I rather like the Tess and Claudia combo as they don't get too personal and intrusive with the celebrities, unlike Brucie who is too nosy and gossipy and so, for me, increasingly unprofessional. He's OK when he sticks to comments on the dancing and his usual lame jokes.
I like Paul O Grady too.
nice choice
or Ronnie Corbett
or Vince Cable :D
or Baron Mandelson of Voldemort and Hartlepool ;D
they're dance nuts I believe
Nigel Havers ;D yummy ;D
Well, maybe now he's seen Anne Widdecombe having the time of her life, maybe Mandelson will dare to do next year.
Please not Corbett. It needs someone with a bit of flair and panache.
Ace. ;D ;D ;D

Ace. ;D ;D ;D
YEH! But not a chance while that boring old Brucie is alive. Why don't the poor old buffer retire?
I like the tango, Like somebody said it's like doing something in the vertical that should be done horizontal ;)
Could not agree more about Forsyth give Timmy Mallett a chance, :)
Perhaps a previous contestant such as Bill Turnbull or Chris Hollins.
The main reason I don't watch it is because I find Bruce very annoying. I agree that Paul O'Grady would be excellent and I'd start watching it then.
Surely a new host should have some dancing experience and not just from being a guest of the show?! It's bad enough having Alesha on the panel ('I thought you was great, you look gorgeous, I know how you feel....') ::)
You know normally im a mild mannered positive kind of a lady but when it comes to bruce I hate him with a deep conviction not seen since the thatcher years , he makes my skin crawl. i turn on the news each day hoping that he and noel edmunds have been in some terrible accident and neither can ever work again on tv!
On the other hand have always loved the men who can show a bit of caring dermot o leary, ant and dec, paul o grady,or maybe a dr who david tennant? tom baker!!
but claudia is charming suppose it would have to be a man to insure against a girly fest!
there its off my chest maybe the murderous dreams can stop now
:) x sunloving
Steady on love ................ ;D ;D ;D
Tom Baker! That's the one ;D ;D
here's a question for the ladies
Q if Alesha patronised you like she does all the women on the show (on the basis of zero knowledge)
would you
A beat her to a pulp with a cricket bat?
or
B beat her to a pulp with a baseball bat?
A swift kick up f#nny should surfice. :-X :-X :-X :-X :-X
Bruce Forsyth has annoyed me intensely ever since I first watched TV what with his womanising, his pathetic jokes and just generally his behaving like a lecher. But at 82, for goodness sake, I find him so pathetic he's almost funny. I no longer see him as a worry, just an institution. heaven preserve us from the likes of Mandelson!
OK so why hasn't anyone suggested John Barrowman?
;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ???
John barrowman lovely , but again its the danger of turning of the straight men from the show
what about Dick and Dom? and instead of mandelson maybe Micheal Portillo
x sunloving
Please nobody suggest Graham Norton or Chris Evans.
>:(
Tom Baker I think
MP
Dermot O'Leary? Are you all on drugs?! :o Cannot stand the man.
I will not hear of one word said against Bruce Forsyth, the man is a British institution. If I had to watch him through childhood childhood every Saturday night on the Generation Game etc. I see no reason not to inflict him on later generations as well......... ;D
Anyone want a laugh? I've never heard of Paul O'Grady or Dermot O'leary!!
Ooh! I thought it was just me....
How about Jim Davidson ?
Is he still alive? Come to think of it, would it matter if he wasn't?

And for our North American members, no, that doesn't mean
bottom. :o
Hmmm.
Don't watch strictly come dancing. Have to suffer neighbours/relatives that do.
So, (bear in mind I dunno how many judges they have)
Sandi Toksvig
Glenys Kinnock
Ace
Ian Hislop
Jeremy Paxman
Ruth Jones
Should be interesting enough to watch ;D
The present blue eyed boy of the BBC is Graham Norton. He gets paid plenty by them so bet they give him the job if Brucey ever gives up.

Too busy with Pudsy at this time of year!
Ninny
Ricky Gervais or Paul Merton might watch it then for a laugh.
Just find it all so false and as for Bruce YUK!!!!!!
Wonathan Woss. :-\ :-\ :-\
Does it have to be a bloke....how about Julian Clary. ;D
Rob Brydon
John Prescott
Fergie and Andrew
Gordan brown. ;D ;D ;D
Don't think many people are that keen on Brucie, me included but I am so excited as I am in the audience this Saturday and am so looking forward to it.
Stick a big red hat on yer head so we will be able to spot you Sinbad ;D

lucky you. do you get to stay for the results show? or do you all get chucked out so they can try to pretend that it's actually done on Sunday night?
i dont like the new format i prefer the old verson :( but if/when bruce leaves i think i might like the guy from pineapple studio to take over
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4UxcIrNK0h8&feature=related
Oh Shirl, if only I could wear a big red hat with my crocs and jeans I'd be in seventh heaven but my friend said to look glamorous These days I wouldn't even know what glamorous was.
You stay for the results Bugloss, my friend said you get out at about 10.30/11.0 pm.
I saw digital spy had a bit about Graham norton or alan Carr being on SCD. It thought it meant as possible presenters - but they meant as contestants, paired off with a man, or each other for all I know :D
that's what they're going to do in the Israeli version, only with gurls
Don't tell me who gets chucked out.... :o
I still like to be kept in suspenders..... ;D
MP
Sinbad, I'm so envious! Love the very thought of Rob Bryden presenting as I just can't stand Brucie. Brilliant idea, Bugloss! ;D
Does it have to be a bloke how about Jane Mc Donald.
