QuoteWould like a few 120 pieces though please
Thanks for the feedback Dave.
Could you tell me why?
As you will see in my introduction I wanted to keep them relatively small for the reasons given, but I am prepared to consider your request the next time I upload some new ones.
If anyone else has an opinion let me know and I will take it all on board........Tg
Basically to make it a little harder / longer and as I play on a PC there is not the constraints as when you play on a tablet.
Not saying they should all be more pieces just a few of them as one progresses.
Thank you for making them in the first place it has brightened a quiet evening quite often of late and a complete change to the usual games out there.
My virus software does not like link and intercepts it.
Enjoying the ones from your site.
PS I think I lost a piece on the floor!!

This might be because of Adobe Flash which the Jigidi site uses, I don't!
I know this happens to me each time Firefox updates, to overcome it I have to re-load Flash.
This is also more common since I moved to Windows 10 ( ....and thats another story :BangHead: )
QuoteEnjoying the ones from your site.
Thats the sort of feedback I like it makes me feel that what I have done has been worthwhile.

Do you mean it has gone off the "Desktop" in a "Flash" ? :happy7:

That link was put up over a year ago and and I guess it become disconnected when I moved various files earlier this year when I revised my site.
Sorry about that!
Perhaps the old thread should be deleted and the new replies put on their own thread.
over to you Dan!

When I put up the jigsaws I felt I wanted to keep them under 100 pieces which I thought would take 15-20 minutes to complete, and were well suited for those people with a short attention span, e.g. my grandchildren.
There is another more technical reason and that is the size of the original picture that is made into the jigsaw, this governs the number of pieces e.g bigger the picture the more pieces you can have.!
This leads to the next problem and that is, the jigsaws are made from pictures that are already in the blog & data pages of my website so this also governs the number of pieces I can achieve.
The reason for the smallish size of the pictures in my website is the ammount of webspace and bandwidth they would use so costing me more money to run my website.
Then I can remember the problems I had with the Mk 1 version of my website, then the pictures were deemed too large by many people, in particular with "dial up" systems i.e. they were taking too long to upload, thus costing the viewer more money.
So when I built the Mk5 version I included more pictures rather than slide shows.
I found that many of the slide shows, which were "Flash" based, were not always user friendly, more so with those people who used Apple products simply because Apple do not recognise Adobe Flash.
Then I had to consider tablets and smart phones which again sometimes restricted sizes.
Anyway that is the history of my website so to meet your needs Dave, any jigsaws I put up from now will be at their maximum size as you will see in the Botanic Garden section I have just uploaded today into my website.
Sorry but that is the best I can do, but once again thanks for your feedback.
While I am on the subject of jigsaws what do you and the others think of say "
A Daily Jigsaw Puzzle" on a sticky thread?
Here is an example: http://www.jigidi.com/solve.php?id=FUDYRRW0 (http://www.jigidi.com/solve.php?id=FUDYRRW0)
All I am doing is thinking of something to do over the winter months that has a 'gardening' theme to it!
If there is any any interest in the idea please let me know in the usual manner......Tg
I understand all that regarding bandwidth etc TeeGee I have done much the same when creating websites over the years.
The new advance with HTML5 of not have to use flash makes things easier after the learning curve. But now with responsive web design even more critical for cross platform use ( PC tablet phone etc) I personally can not keep up these days.
But thank you for the latest jigsaws I shall have fun playing them next week. On a side note I did a 220 piece one the other day which was quite fun but really too many pieces to handle even on a PC.
Thanks again TeeGee
Hope you don't mind but I am playing about to see what is the best format for putting up single jigsaws should I ever get around to doing this.

Edit: I have noticed if you keep this page tab open and the jigsaw page tab open you can click back and forward to view picture as you go along.
I hope that helps!
I started out to do the washing up and got distracted for 10.42 but was fun thanks
