never mind that kids show on the other side..........
i'm completely riveted with SCD this year
all that sex and bad language at 6 o'clock on a Saturday night, and that was just little Felicity Kendal. And as for Pamela. It's not legal, surely. However did she get such an enormous erm chest, by the way?
I even seem to be developing strong feelings for orange girls who speak with an Eastern European accent...
<groan>
We love it here but then we go to ballroom dancing classes ourselves - 28 hours a year for the 10 ballroom dances plus disco rock and a couple of line dances so nowhere near the standard acheived by the better SCD competitors with their 20+ hours of inidvidual training per week.
This year we've been highly impressed by Matt and Pamela and one or two others and have laughed till we cried at Anne Widdecombe and Anton wh is coping magnificently. We like the new Russian male professional but find the American youngster a bit wet and his partner is just too drippy. Patsy Kensit can go too.
The music choices seem better this year apart from Soething Stupid as a Foxtrot. It's a rumba. I hope we don't get any horrors for tango and Paso.
My 15 year old daughter still ocvers her eyes at some of the costumes - too much flesh - but some of them are just amazing and gorgeous. Brilliant programme and it wil be even better when they get rid of Brucie altogether.
I am no real fan of Ann outside the world of Strictly but I did think how nice she looks ;D
Thank goodness they got rid of that fool Paul Daniels!!!!..
I think that Pam Stevenson, & Scott Maslen have a good chance.
Ann, seems to be enjoying herself, but poor Anton,. ::) ::) ;D ;D ;D
I really fancy Anton ;D
Ola :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :-* :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P :P ;)
actually of course the sex was on Saturday night, and the swearing was on Sunday, but that's how it usually is, in my experience
Never before have us men been so interested in dancing! Got to agree with you kev Ola jordan :-* and now she's gone out :'( Oh well back to the shed then! ;D ;D ;D
Matt's the man for me .......... hubby watches a pre-recorded rugby game in the lounge when I'm watching it in the kitchen, as I multi-task by prepping supper at the same time ::)
Ninny
I do so enjoy watching Strictly but I am really missing Lilia, Ian & Brian this season. There are some pros that I just cannot take to, especially Artem, Katya (sp?) & Natalie.
I'm glad that Anne actually danced this week because even though she really makes me laugh and Anton is one of my favs, I could see the whole comedy routine wearing thin quite quickly without the effort of the dance! Good for her, she's a trier!
I don't have a stand out favourite at the moment but I soon will ;D I do enjoy watching Aliona & Matt and Scott & Natalie. I hope Jimi ups his game because he was one I was looking forward to watching.
Can't agree about the Brucie comment though as the show wouldn't be as good without him. I just wish they'd let him do his own gags, do they beeb not remember what he's famous for? Whoever is writing his jokes at the moment needs a clip round the ear! When he wants to leave that'll be good enough for me, until then, long may he stay ;D ;D (but they can replace old wooden top Tess any time they like as far as I'm concerned, lol)
As soon as the missus claims the zapper, I'm off!
- Get rid of Forsythe.
- Get rid of the public vote, leave the judging to those who know the subject!
I'm a miserable git & I'm off too!!!
>:( ;D ;D ;D
Ian is back this week replacing Brendan who's had to go to NZ on some urgent famly matter. He's doing tango which is his speciality and I really hope he gets more out of what's-her-name than Brendan did.
I don't mind Brucie usually but last year he got far too personal and intrusiv about Brian and his partner and this year he's starting on another pair. He needs to stick to dancing chat and bad jokes - please no singing or dancing from him.
Still don't like Patsy Airhead but am enjoying everyone else. They've got personality and are trying really hard, even self conscious Gavin who needs to do some growing up.

Yes, I'd read about Ian being back to cover for Brendan (his father passed away last weekend) and I'm looking forward to seeing him compete again - if only as a stand in! ;D
isn't it funny how much prettier the dancers all look, the girls i mean ;D, when they're scruffy compared to when they're all tarted up? Flavia's a bit scary though. she looks like she could snap you in two like a twig. She reminds me of a cross between a cage fighter and Thelma from the Likely Lads :o
so who's for the chop next: Michelle, Patsy, Shilts or "Mr Personality" Gavin?

I know the bbc is having to cut back, but they could surely afford to give Kara some clothes to wear
Patsy ready to show off her samba
(UKPA) – 6 hours ago
Strictly Come Dancing star Patsy learns how to be a showgirl as scantily-clad performers show her their tips.
Patsy - who donned a Rio carnival-style headdress for rehearsals - will be giving viewers a glimpse of her Brazilian on Strictly this weekend.
:o Well that will certainly boost the viewing figures ;)
