My husband bought this for me as a surprise, in a junk shop and went to pick it up today.
It's filled with bits for model something or others - soon to be full of seeds! I'm so excited (ridiculous I know - but I know here I am among people who understand ;))
What a nice present!

Oooooo very smart! But will it be big enough ::) ;) :P
Most seeds now are packed in small foil containers within the seed packet. You could always take them out and fold the seed packet and then you will have room.I love surprises. I remember when Tony went to the tip with some rubbish and came back with a cd tower rack. ;D
Jim found two EPNS type silver coloured tea pots and three silver coloured type dishes just sitting next to one of the skips.
He put them in our car and we used them for our float when the old house I volunteer at took part in the local festival.
They looked great ......recycling LOL ;D
Beautiful display case for pea and bean seeds, if it should be too small for your other seeds.
Have you seen this one? Your lovely seed box reminded me of this:

Yes that's what I thought.
And self-saved seed will fit in well. It's an absolutely enormous case, I don't think I'll ever fill it with seeds. (Famous last words)
Galina - I was interested to see that case in the photo. I couldn't really work it out, I wish you could zoom in on it. It's a lovely idea to have something made specially. At the risk of sounding like my dad - there's nothing like a nice dovetail joint. ;D

No, I can't make it out either, just that every little compartment represents a different bean variety that has been saved by John Withee and his seed saving group, the Wanigan Associates. Pretty amazing.
Have you filled your box yet?
Not quite! Still some room... But I'm working on it! ;D
