Title: Long thin pointy (not very big) aubergine?
Post by: chriscross1966 on September 29, 2010, 02:06:55
I had some aubergine seeds tuen up in a swap I think and they've done pretty well for me. THe fruits or definitely pointed, quite long and thin for the size, the biggest was about 6" long but wasn't an inch in diameter. Anyone know what they were. THe baggy was  marked long purple, but they aren't the same as the pictures on a packet of Farmers Long, Long Purple or Lunga Violetta..... any ideas?

We grew long purple at work this year. From about 12 plants, there weren't two aubergines that were the same shape, size or colour! We had round ones, fat ones, long skinny ones, stripy ones, you name it. Looked like 12 different varieties. If those plants are anything to go by then they could well be long purple.   ::)
