After our beloved cat died over the summer, we were so sad, the house seemed empty, so when we were offered this little beauty, who crawled straight onto my lap for a cuddle, I just couldn't resist.

We have christened her Abby, after the late great jazz vocalist, Abby Lincoln, since our last cat was named after Ella Fitzgerald! Just following a tradition!
She is totally cute, clean and playful and she is already treating the house like she has lived there for year. We feel blessed by her presence which has helped heal our sadness.
So happy for you! Best for the future.
Cute kitten :)
ooohhh I just love knowing that there are other jazz fans in the house :) ;)
I love Abbey Lincoln too!!
Duke
oooooooo she's a cutie - really pleased for you! Now for the fun and games :)
She's beautiful, how old is she?
What a lovely puddy-tat. I hope she brings you many years of happiness.
She looks a lovely moggy ;D
Purrrrrrrrrrrrrrrfect ;D
It's hubby that is the jazz fan, well, more hardcore than me anyway! Except we spelt it wrong! LOL Abby should be Abbey, but never mind...
She has lots of funny little habits, she keeps going into the bathtub to play with the leftover water puddles! Odd for a cat! And she has those spells of complete mental meltdown that young cats do, just skittering around the house and leaping all over everything as if she has suddenly been put on high speed! It's hilarious.
She was born on July 1 so she is about 3 months old now.
It's not really a substitute for our beautiful old cat, :'( but she is giving us lots of happiness and filling the catty space in the house ! ;D
She looks adorable.
She looks wonderful, I have been very tempted of late to have another kitten but I'm not sure that my two would appreciate it now that they are both seven, also would there be room on my lap?
Such a cutie-pie. I hope she's a good mouser as well. Happy regards to the whole family!
She is just adorable and I wish you and her many happy years together. I am sure your much loved cat that has passed is looking down on you all, happy that you are now giving another cat the chance of a happy life filled with love that you had given her.
Thank you Ragdoll Lady for that kind comment. They are all so different and individual, but sometimes I just see a glimpse of a little tabby tail and come over all weepy, as I miss my other cat too and as she is a tabby, she makes me think of her. But i know in my heart that you are right :)
ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh ;D
lovely kitten,so pleased she is bringing so much joy to you ;D
What a cutie ;D
Ahh - sooo sweet!
