Title: Gladioli
Post by: Grandma on September 27, 2010, 08:29:03
Wanting more flowers for cutting, I grew gladdies for the first time this year - now I'm wondering what to do with the bulbs. Do I have to dig them up or can I leave them in? They were planted deep and (apart from last year!) the winters down here on the South coast are relatively mild.

Thank you!

I leave mine in the ground and cover them with a nice thick layer of mulch, usually a bag of horse manure or mushroom compost.  :)

Thanks, Flighty.

They were so pretty I don't want to lose them - but I'm SO pleased I don't have to dig them up! x
