Title: buying elephant garlic

can anyone recommend where to buy elephant garlic from dont seem to find any in shops! can pm me  ;D

It's not cheap anywhere.... about a third of my crop this year is going for seed... the biggest bulb in its entirety and the biggest clove off each of the other bulbs. I got two lots last year , one from DT Browns in their garlic selectrion pack, and the others from ebay... the ebay ones turned out best, one of them is a mammoth about 6" across...

Eekk... yes you did.... they were the big ones... I'm having a bad brain day.... it was tree onions  I got on ebay :D....  Well there you go... the best place to get elephant garlic is from jayb!....

The largest cloves Ive bought have been from the Isle of wight garlic company, they sometimes have a stall at various food shows where they are cheaper than there seed garlic.
Wilkinsons sell them in spring I always wait until there discounted and plant them for the following year
