Title: Marrow Cream

I have been given a recipe for Marrow Cream, has anyone ever madee this?

2lb marrow
2lb sugar
1/4lb butter
2 lemons

Peel marrow, boil till soft, strain, pulp.
Put into pan with sugar, butter and juice, rind of lemons.
Boil together for 3/4 hour.

Yes, that maybe the answer........I think I'll make some and see, just need some lemons, so it'll not be till weekend.

What do you do with it once its cooked? Do you eat it on its own or spread it on something ..................

Perhaps its a face cream or should I say, or not say a male part cream, as everyone seems to like the peennises thread.  I don't think I fancy sugar in marrow, maybe on pancakes, interested to know the answer.

and I am sure Mrs Ava has mentioned it elsewhere but this was the only one I could find, I remember she was very impressed with the recipe at the time  :)
