I planted some last November from a T&M packet, Nantes Frubund.

Grow Your Own Tent Pegs - the carrots were a good size but were a massive hard core coated with a tiny skin of carrot-like material.  Ugh, never again but since realised I am rubbish at growing any type of carrot so my experience may not be representative.

I grow the "Seeds of Italy" one whose name eludes me and they grew even through last winter in a raised bed...  :)

I've got some in that I sowed four or so weeks ago... they're up but I'ver no feel for carrots (and less for the soil at my new place....) They went in where beets came out and where next year there will be greenhouse....

I planted some in a container several weeks ago, the tops are around 4/5 inches at present. I've had the idea of putting them at the bottom of my mini greenhouse when it turns cold, perhaps leave the zips undone so they don't bake if we get a bit of sun.
