Title: High Weald Landscape Trail
Post by: Emagggie on September 13, 2010, 21:33:56
Has anyone walked this path? It's from Horsham to Rye.We started it this weekend. It has to be the worst waymarked  trail ever! So many paths were not there at all or had been obliterated by the land owner/farmer. Luckily we had an OS map and cobbled the missing bits together ourselves. Having moaned about that, the hospitality of the B&Bs we used were second to none, especially 'The Cat' in West Hoathly. We had such a good time there we will return ! I'm just interested to know if anyone else has tried to walk this path ever, and would like to know how they got on.

Never walked the path but I so love Rye. My late husband cut acres of garden turf in Rye when we lived in Mayfield. Just love East Sussex.

We're doing it in 3 hits - dodgy paths permitting ;D It would be ok if the map in the book corresponded with the OS map ::), still we have plenty of time to sort it out for the next leg. Sussex is lovely I'll agree Lorna.
