Title: Leeks..how NOT to plant
Post by: terrier on September 11, 2010, 20:39:19
How's this for a dumb mistake! I dibbed a row of holes, dropping a trimmed leek into each hole. Then I got the watering can and proceeded to fill the holes with water. The hole didn't fill up but the leek did disappear into the ground. So did the next one.. and the next one.. and the next. Guess who managed to plant a row of leeks right along Mr Moles run. I hope he enjoys them  ::)

I shouldn't laugh but it sounds like a comedy sketch, maybe something Charlie Chaplin would of done ;D

Oh no!!! That is slapstick gardening! I take it they're irretrievable then. Yes, I hope at least the mole eats them.

Is that the lot all gone?  :(

You'll get some lovely long blanched stems.
Just have to find out where they're going to come up!!
