Well done. It's quite late in the season for currents. ;)
(good parsnip BTW)
How did you get it out of the ground undamages? Lovely looking parsnip. Congratulation.
A beauty. You must have very well-prepared deep soil.
Hi Galina....
It was grown in a really tall raised bed that was made out of pallets. The raised bed is about four feet tall.
The bottom of the pallet was filled with a mix of home made compost and used grow bags. The top third was filled with sieved top soil.
It was a dream to pull it out!!
Duke :)
Brilliant,we're with you, Shirl, been eating ours for a couple of weeks, thin them out so the others can get bigger ;D
How do you keep a 4 foot high box from drying out? soaker hoses?
Qe have two pipes drilled with holes that go right through to the bottom of the bed we water into the pipes and the surface very often.

you've gone 'the extra mile' with your parsnips, this much is sure, and you certainly deserve a special result. Enjoy!
WOW
Being new to growing your own, I would have been happy if I grew one a quarter of the size of that one.
Well done it's lovely :D
