Title: Wanted " walking onion or tree onions"
Post by: DawnF on September 10, 2010, 12:46:50
Hi,
I was wondering if anyone have a couple of these for me to try ??
I have just noticed that these onions grow on the flowerhead rather than in the soil!!!!
Seems a great idea !!

Regards

I've got Finnish, Egyptian and Catawissa if you want.... I'm always interested in oddball onions, strange tomatoes (desperately seeking a variety called "Brain") and shelling beans.....

OPK... I got the seed form Finland might be a better description... and wierdly it was seed.... there's some flower structure as well as the bulbils on these ones....

I know you've loads of shelling beans you sent me some earlier this year..... :D.... Good crop off most things but Dutch Brown failed completely.... the mennonite Stripes look  like they'll be hard to dry for seed cos the pods so enormous but all the rest are doing fine and will be making an appearance in the pea and bean swap Digeroo is organising (I think it was Digeroo...)....
