Title: Looking for Supersprouts bottling advice.
Post by: Mrs Ava on September 08, 2010, 17:00:20
The lovely Sarah, aka Supersprout, once told how to bottle fruit in the oven rather than in a pressure cooker.  I have searched, but can I find it?  Can I heck.  Now, if she were here, rather than gardening where weeds never grow, I could ask her, but as she isn't, I ask you kind folk if you can find it, or advice me.

I was on the allotment today and my Jerusalem artichokes she sent me just before she died are growing like triffids!  Thing is, try as I might, I can't stand them, but they grow in her memory, and do have lovely flowers, and it is something I can give away....to those who like having comedy wind.  ;D

Thanks all.

Weequinie, I could kiss you.   :-*  I can now be found in the kitchen preparing buckets full of scrumped pears and plums ready for bottling.  ;D

I would not dream of saying anything that treads on Supersprouts advice but this method of bottling is no longer considered safe, and I would srongly suggest you read the info on it in the new light of day..

Please read it.

with respect Jeannine
