Man finds a Datura growing in his garden. How is that news?

definately slow... as it was on our local news (online paper) on August 31st... ;D
I just hope he doesn't have children or pets...
edit... as it's so dangerous, it was probably news for people living near him... educates people as to what it looks like, if they get it growing in their gardens too... especially as he wanted to keep it, so the plants seeds could spread...
I pulled up a jimson weed growing on a friend's plot last week and we found another this week, and someone else posted about it recently. Is it the year for them?
There was a news item from the midland several weeks ago.
Maybe there's a set of "standard slow-news stories" in newspaper circles. The silly thing is that these plants have been growing in another unkempt local field for at least 40 years to my knowledge, immediately adjacent to a public footpath, and the the pile of poisoned bodies is obvious by it's absence ... that's not to say that some of the locals' "curious habits" may not have been influenced by it ... man 8)

the second item is a bit sad - those Brugmansia have been there for 15 years, making you look all sub-tropical, and they get rid of them just because some idiots have been trying to get kids to eat them. They'll be getting rid of all your daffs next
I've got a few datura in the front garden, lovely night-scented flowers!! ;)
It used to be 'drop the dead donkey' now it seems to be 'shove in the poisonous weed.'
