Title: Mustard
Post by: caroline7758 on September 04, 2010, 20:19:01
I got a packet of mustard seeds in the wyevale 50p sale. Can I use this as green manure, or is that a different sort? This is mustard "Fine white".

I can't see why not. I've never heard anyone say it has to be a specific kind. It seems a waste though as it's good to eat!  ;)

Anything can be grown as a green manure...  :)

Oh can it? I didn't know that. I thought most greenery used up nitrates while it's breaking down, and that's why you compost it first.
