On my return from my trip around the gardens of Scotland I found these two gardens in the border counties.
The first Harmony Garden in Melrose was most enjoyable.
It was quite small just the size I would have loved to look after if I had my time to live over.
I met Paul the gardener and we had a very constructive chat.
He was concerned about his onion crop and how to get them dried for storage purposes. I explained how I did mine and he seemed quite inteested in it.
We also discussed the merits of J*yes fluid and armill*t*x as a fungicide.
This is the garden; http://www.thegardenersalmanac.co.uk/Slide%20Shows/Harmony%20Garden/harmony%20garden.html (http://www.thegardenersalmanac.co.uk/Slide%20Shows/Harmony%20Garden/harmony%20garden.html)
The next was 'Floors Casle' in Kelso where the walled garden was something to die for.
I wasn't overly impressed with the 'Parterre' I thought it was too big and one couldn't get to a high enough vantage point to appreciate the work that had gone into it.
So to my mind there was a lot of wasted space!
But thats only my opinion ......you judge for yourselves!...Tg

Absolutely beautiful Tee Gee. Hope you had a lovely holiday. Was it just you & Mrs TG this time?

Glad you enjoyed them.
I was on my own!
The other half doesn't particularly enjoy me snap snap snapping all the time she would rather go shopping!
Good pics. You were in my local gardens. I haven't been to Floors yet this year and notice it isn't as colourful as previous years.
;D
