We have huge bed of great carrots!!! Not found any fly damage yet. Invested in some enviromesh and it has done the job. Wahoo!! ;D ;D ;D Am chuffed to bits!
Well done. Success is such a great feeling.
Sparkly, great news about your carrots. I to invested in some mesh this year after trying just about everything else, results are looking very good. It seems for me mesh is the only way to win the war against the demon fly.
Thanks guys. We have used fleece before and it did seem to help, but we still ended up with the dreaded fly!
congratulations! Photo? :)

Their little bare shoulders shouldn't be showing Den, earth 'em up or you'll have nice green shoulders ;)
Ninny
You are quite right Ninns..I will attend to it ;D
Well done! Growing in dustbins has worked well for me, but you'd need a lot of dustbins to grow as many as you you can get in a bed.

thats why i use a glass fibre bath. Better surface area to compost volume ratio
Well done!
I asked for Enviromesh for Christmas (yes my family did think I was a bit mad) and it's brilliant stuff.
