I really love Nigel Slaters *Tender* cookbook. He has just bought out the
volume II version too and I cant wait to buy it.
Duke

I like Nigel Slater- I can watch his programme and think 'I could try that' instead of thinking it all is too complicated. Always seems quick, easy and delicious. Hope you had a great time

Me too and he has such a lovely style, such a pity the programme suffers from that blight of many these days. A director or cameraman that can't keep a shot in focus or frame it properly.

:o ???
Good grief, it's only 3 days since it was on and one day since you posted the link- someof us have busy lives! I was looking forward to watching it but not sure whether to bother now. :(
I've got the episode on my digi recorder. But there's a whole lot that's older and needs watching first!
Superb plot - congrats!
Elvis as Caroline says give us a chance as we're not all miserable sods!
I bet that you were well pleased with his visit and I'm sure that what he cooked for you was delicious! :)
I think if my allotment looked as good as that and had been on telly I would have have shouted it from the roof tops!!
I guess from Elvis's point of view the response was not overwhelming. Its well worth watching, maybe people were jsut waiting for the weekend to sit and watch it all. Are all the other plots as good as yours Elvis? :) And the shed!!wow!
That's not a shed - that's a small house! Plot looks pretty good too. I'm soooooo jealous! :) :) :) :)
Just watched it on i-player. What a treat for you- and for Nigel! Your plot looks great. Wish I had a shed that size...actually if I took all the rubbish out of mine I probably would have! ;D
Just seem it Elvis, your plot looks great and so did the grub, I too would have shouted it from the roof tops, I too would have been a tad disappointed to the response but maybe under a seperate title you say have had a lot more responce. :-\ ??? ;D ;D ;D
I always sky+ alot of tv cooking series so I haven't caught up with it yet !! :-\
What a wonderful looked after plot you have and how nice to have Nigel complimenting it like he did
I notice in next week's Radio Times, that Nigel visits Derbyshire. Not your lottie is it Saddad. ;D
valmarg
Brilliant Elvis, I am sitting here with my mouth watering.
Superb plot and your shed must be everyone's dream. I too would never go home.
Thanks everyone ;D ;D ;D
Yes congratuations, how did your allotment get chosen, did he choose or what ?
How did he choose your site ?? ;D
betula, the programmes researcher emailed asking if we would like to be considered, she then came up by herself and filmed /interviewed us,and some others in the city, then emailed again saying they had selected our plot
I am just downloading it so can watch again, and again, and maybe again :D Anne x
Well me and wifey watched on sky+. Good programme - and your lottie looks smashin. Something for me to aspire to in 2011 :-[ ;D
I love your allotment Elvis. I would have loved meeting Nigel, at least he is pleasant to watch unlike Nigella who is constantly flirting with her viewers.
duke
I agree, she is a lovely looking woman but as I am a girlie it don't do the biz really....all that licking and slurping can put one off ;D
Thanks for the link - I missed the prog.
Wow - fantastic plot you two. What did the tom soup really taste like, not sure I'd like the bread in the bottom of the bowl.....
And that glitter ball in the greenhouse - lolol
Alison
the soup was lovely, and yeah did get a tad soggy towards the end of the bowl
thanks for all the lovely comments, apologies for my bratty comment earlier on in the thread(hangs my head in shame) im not a diva honest! ;D
We forgive Elvis, mind you I thought it was quite funny ;)
Duke you leave my Nigella alone and Bet she can lick and slurp all day, in fact I'm going back on the link, I love the way she whisks them eggs. :P :P :P :P :P :-*
Put your tongue back in ......mucky boy ::)
