to say the OH and myself were gobsmacked is an understatement... one of the girls must have piles... or a sore ass!  :o :o :o

I'm glad I'm not the only person who photographs large eggs. We have 4 bantams & one day there was a lot of noise & when I went out no wonder, one had laid a 56gram egg which is big for a bantams bottom ;)

this was 111g (3.9oz)

I wasnt there for the laying but the our neighbour said it was rather loud for a while! lol ;D

whats the world record?

we have 8 girls, 4 Rhode Island Reds, a light sussex, 2 Morans and an Orpington (spell check)
they are all pure breeds, not bantams

I think its the RIR that laid this... had another of 107 grams today

not sad at all... its good fun!  Its an egg blog!

only problem is we have these huge eggs but dont want to break them now!  how many yolks? 2 or 3?
