Sungold in abundance and others like Money maker,Tigerella and Alicante just starting to turn now...may have to reduce some shading to give them a fighting chance.

Oh yes,and a boost of sulphate of potash too to help them along.

Coming on nicely, nieces kept munching them off the Vine this week so I've not got many left [=0], but quite a few turning again now that they have gone home.

[outside toms have been better than the greenhouse ones - contraversial!]...

I've been picking Sungold for about 3 weeks now, also Minibel.  The Millefleur are also ready but it's a nightmare picking them because the trusses are massive and tend to hide the ripe ones.  My husband is not impressed with the flavour of them, Sungold is his all-time favourite.

Coming along very nicely indeed thankyou. Have eaten a few Japanese Black Trifele, couple of Stupice and quite a lot of small cherry ones - lost the label  ;D. But the real star at the moment is Clear Pink Early which is cropping really well, and flavour is lovely. Got the seeds from one of the swaps, don't know which one, so a very big thank you to someone out there. Will definitely grow them again next year. Lots of others beginning to colour up too, will soon have a glut - luverly. Ruuds All Purpose red has lovely looking fruit, just turning - another swap goody, thanks Ruud, but the one that gets loads of comments is Striped Roman - people don't think its a tomato at all! All my plants are outside, either in pots on my patio, or in the ground on the lottie.

Have been picking garden pearl for about 3 weeks now, very sweet tasting.  Two nights ago I picked a ladowick and a prima, was not impressed at all.  There was no taste, no juice and were what I call meaty.  I shall not be growing these again.  I also picked one black seaman, by far the best tomato I have ever tasted in my life.  Outdoor girl is very nice as well.  They're definitely going to be grown again next year.  My gardener's delight have tons of tomatoes on each truss, so if the taste is good then these will be grown again as well.

Well, I've never had such a bad year for greenhouse grown toms, they've just refused to grow. The yield is way down with what I assume was poor polination. I'm wondering if the greenhouse just got too hot? A lot of the leaves are grey and mottled and regular spraying with Epsom Salts made no difference. On the other hand, I set 10 plants outside on a south facing wall and they have grown really well with lots of fruit (unfortunately still all green). Still plenty of time yet though, unless they get hit with the dreaded bl***t  ::)

Tumbler - 3 plants in 18" hanging basket doing really well   :)  Trouble is, keep picking them as I go past!  I have an Aunt  Gertie in a raised bed but it's not doing anything except trying to be a triffid at the moment...
