I just wanted to say that, because for the first time ever my beetroot are big, juicy and multitudinous.
I'm wondering if its due to all the rabbit droppings I dug into that bed after 'dispatching' the damned rabbit that ruined my plot last year. It had left tons of poo all over the bed. That and planting later (early June).
Justice!
;D ;D ;D V-I-C-T-O-R-Y ! there's nothin' like hearing a satisfied gardener finally victorious with multitudinous beets.
That just beets all.
well that beets me!!! Mine are rubbish......... :P ::)
1066 :)
I had great beetroot this year too. They're now eaten or pickled but the next lot are showing now on my plot.
My beetroot have been good this year, I am especially happy as they are from my own saved seed.
beetroot aregood this year wish. i could say the same for the peas pigeons got there first , still you win some lose some. ;) ;)
Well I'm not going to beet around the bush, mine are growing away quite nicely, I had some baby ones when thinning out and now have some nice sized ones and the ones in a small trough in the back garden are coming along too. ;D ;D ;D
I have not even harvested any yet! They are just tiny from the lack of rain :(
I think rainy years are good for Beetroot
We have good beet too but it has been very dry here... choggia and "red" :)
