Title: Sweetcorn problem
Post by: mpdjulie on July 16, 2010, 12:00:11
How do I strip sweetcorn from the cob as we don't like eating it from the cob?  In all the books I have it only mentions how to cook them on the cob but I want to freeze them like how you buy them from the supermarket.

Hi

All you need to do is get yourself a sharp knife and cut right down the length of the sweetcorn in sections removing the sweetcorn kernals. Try to get as much of the kernal as you can. :) you can then freeze it or cook for a few mins.

Simples!!! ;)

Stand it on it's end on a cutting board then slice right down, watch your fingers. You can get a really good gadget that does it for you Oxo make one , it really does work great XX Jeannine
