I went to the allotment this morning and picked my first Moonbeam summer squash. It had grown in size
after the rain weve had!!

Hiya, Duke..I'm glad you showed us this, we have a yellow pattypan squash and I was wondering when to pick them ;D
My Patty pans haven't even flowered yet :'( :(
I'm growing yellow ones, tend to pick them when they fill my hands (smallish :))
What does "moonbeam" taste like? It certainly is beautiful!
I will let you know what I think Granny once Ive cooked it. This year is my first growing it. I was thinking of stuffing it and baking.
Duke :)
Wow, that looks good, I hope I have one when I get home from hols ;) :)
Hello Tulipa hope you had a good time! If you dont have any moonbeams I will let you have one of mine. Like all courgettes they just keep producing ::) ;D
Duke :)
Have you got a nice stuffing recipe.
Best picked smaller than this, they loose their taste as they get bigger, up to 3 inches is best, and early picking promotes more fruit on the vine, it is a great picture and squash ,,well done.XX Jeannine
