I've had to make a new website for our allotments - if anyone has a few spare minutes and would like to have a look, it's www.growit.btck.co.uk
Any comments or advice gratefully received and if you're quick, you could be first in the Guest Book!

Looks good to me.  ;D ;D

				Love it!  ;D
The photos are really big and clear, and I particularly like the bit about 'before you apply for a plot', very sound advice there. ;D

A well thought out website loads of space for further development.
I like how the plot holders are getting involved, there looks to be a lot of good growers among them!
The plots look well equipped as well.
I had better not let my fellow plot holders see your site, they will be wanting me to build them a website.
I'll just stick to the annual ' open day' pictures 8)
Well done.......Tg

That's lovely. From the site it looks like a lovely community :)

Thanks for your comments everyone, you are all very kind. :)
It is a very easy to use website builder, free to community groups.

I've added even more photos to the plotholders page today.  :)

Excellent, they all should look like this,,well done XX Jeannine

I have to admit I am very jealous  ;) what a fabulous looking site, how great to have toilets & a pavillion with a kitchen you can use, etc. This is how I always hoped having an allotment would be but sadly my plot is on a tiny site with only 2 other regulars besides myself (very old men who are great for giving me advice but not really into having a social get together etc), no toilets etc, sigh....it can be very lonely down there. I do greatly enjoy growing fruit & veg but I would love it so much if I had a plot with a real sense of community. Thats why A4A is so important to me as you lovely people give me some company  a taste of what allotment communities could be like

Oh that's really sad Crystalmoon.  I think that sometimes I take our site for granted and it isn't until I hear what it's like on other sites that I really appreciate how lucky we are.

Im so glad you shared the info/photos of your site Squash64 it has given me real hope for finding a similar site in the future when I am able to move from this area or if I ever manage to pass my driving test  ;)
I do feel lucky to have an allotment even if it is very quiet, as there is now a waiting list of 300 in my area  :o
I hope you & all your allotment buddies have a wonderful fun filled summer  ;D
