I am so happy today, it finally rained last night & again this morning ;D there hasnt been any rain in my part of Kent for sooooooooooo long my water butt was down to literally an inch that I couldnt get out & my blueberries were at risk of dying of thirst just as the fruit are ripening (I had even momentarily considered stealing some rain water from someone elses butt on my site :o I didnt though).
I suffer from arthritis & rain makes my legs hurt terribly but Im still overjoyed it is here
If you have a problem with rain suggest you move here.
I wont do that as I shall only bring the heatwave to you all there. ;D
Forgot to top up my pond and tubs in the back garden and the all dried out, allotment is like a desert here in sunny Salisbury. Think I will do another rain dance tonight! They don't seem to work though. ???

or here!
Didn't even get enough to wash a gnats lockstrap
It rained here yesterday on and off all day. It's the first rain we have had in ages... but it only wet the top 1/8th of an inch of soil.
A few spots on windscreen when I was on the way to pick up dog from kennels. I could have spit more. Overcast all day and again this morning but no rain!!
We'd had enoughin Swindon when I left this morning for there to be puddles.... not big ones, but enough to persuade me that I didn't need to do any more watering..... we're due a load more this evening/tonight..... If we get enough I'll plant my cabbages out tomorrow.....

It rained here all day yesterday till about 7 pm and will find out this morning how far down its gone!! Hoping I can resow the seeds that all frazzled up in the hot weather.
My 3 yr old grandson asked me yesterday "What is a puddle?"
I said: "When you see a bit of water and you are wearing your boots, what do you do?"
Three voices (3, 5, and 5) answered "We stamp and splash!!!"
So they do faintly remember puddles (South London).
A bit of rain. A small amount dripped into the water butts. There were a few puddles, soil appeared wet at the allotment but it was not very deep still bone dry underneath. Planted out some PSB at least it will not have been burnt to a frazzle. But it has brought out the toadlets. Hopefully the plants will absorb some of the moisture through their leaves. Perhaps too it was enough to get the runner beans to set.
I watered the lottie today, and now it's raining-hurray!
It'll be interesting to see how far down it's gone.
I'd be amazed if here, between Nottingham and Derby, it's gone in more than 2cm.
(and the hanging baskets still need water!!)
OK had two days of rain now.........can we have the sun back please ??? :)
It's raining here in Cheshire. Quite heavy ATM. Lovely.
It keeps threatening but only a few splash's here and there. :( :( :(
If you have it can you post a photo
At last some good long steady rain for me plants to enjoy :P
All we have had is a very light rain for a while, no puddles. Another watering day yesterday. Please send some rain here.
Its been raining on and off for 48 hrs here, more to come
Had two nights of solid rain up here in leeds with more forecast for today and tomorrow. Butts now full (after a slight hiccup caused by moving them to unblock the drain). Only downside is finding a gap in the rain to fix up the newest butt. Not taking any chances if this is how it's going to go all summer. ::)
It's raining here this morning .quite light but steady.had intended t go for a ramble but am now thinking about it
marg
Yay! Proper rain for a good few hours last night and looks like more today. Sun forecast for Saturday so should be able to get the spade in the ground again. :D
No rain here for a very long time and i've just had two weeks in Devon and Cornwall...we had rain there...but the allotment was like a desert except the weeds still manage to grow 4 ft tall ::).
Lost quite a few plants including a blueberry that was covered in fruit now wizened up and brown. My beans look great though for some reason ???
Very little rainfall this year hence the cracks in my lawn which I can fit my arm into, except i won't because it's too scary can't see the bottom :o
Now it's pouring down ;D and there is thunder as well :(...don't like thunder.
Now we are getting blight watch alerts
