OH treated me for my birthday a couple of years ago to the boxed set.  The Victorian Kitchen Garden, The Victorian Flower Garden and the Victorian Kitchen.

Takes me back to gran and grandad-land,  Gran was a cook in service, and grandad was a gardener (ornamental aka flower garden).

I have some of grandad's gardening books.  Three volumes of both the Flower Growers and Fruit Growers Guides, and his A-Z volumes of The Dictionary of Gardening.  They are just over 100 years old.  Fascinating reading.

Sadly I have none of gran's recipes.  I was only nine when she died, and was too young to appreciate her cooking.
