Post by: Auntie J on July 08, 2010, 08:02:07
I have recently lifted my elephant garlic bulbs and found lots of little bulbs attached to the base, I have pulled them off and saved them, should I plant them now or dry and save for next year, and when planted will they come true elephant garlic.

Many thanks

Put them in now, they take ages to come up so be patient, you might not see anything from them till next spring, they should grow a big single clove next year then a bulb the year after that. Yes they'll come true, they're a  vegetative offset of the parent plant after all.
