Title: Eaten carrot leaves
Post by: Mortality on July 07, 2010, 17:05:40
I found this morning that black caterpillars have eaten the leaves of my carrots, just leaving the stalks, will they be ok or should I pull them up now?
Also badly eaten are the tops of the leaves of the onions, again will these be ok?
What are the pests likely to be?

Onions?..... You might get rabbit damage early in the year if there is nothing else for them to eat but I can't think of anythgin that would choose to eat onions at this time of year....

The catterpillas have eaten the leaves down to the bulb, and now it seems they've started on the leeks.  >:(
