Yes,not very nice is it.....I believe you have blight! :(
Looks that way and on some toms too.
Some of ours looked a bit suspect today :S boooo
Fortunatley I never get both.....last year my tomatoes suffered from blight but I stripped the plants of most of thier leaves and managed to get a decent crop.
This year I have seen signs of early blight on my early potatoes(Ulster Sceptre) and Im digging them up now.Luckily they are of a decent size.
We had blight warnings a couple of weeks ago but so far no signs, if you do think it is blight you should get all the foliage off as soon as possible. If you leave it the rain (when we get it ) will wash the spores down to the tubers and the foliage will do no good even if left on.
I have similar spots to that on one of my potatoes (Sharpe's Express) and googled blight. Are we sure that's what it is?
I've had no blight warnings for weeks and I took a look on the other allotment forum, chat.allotment.org.uk and no-one there seems to have it.
I'm pulling it today anyhow - it's ready, but seems strange when no-one's complaining of blight.
Mine's defo blight :'(
We have had 3 or 4 full Smith periods recently and then a drop of rain. I've cut the affected helms of the potatoes and I'll leave the tubers in the ground for a few weeks. The remaining potatoes all look fine at the mo, but they had all been sprayed with Dithane. Some tomatoes are also showing blight on some leaves, I've removed and bagged all the leaves. I'll keep removing leaves and see how it goes.
