I'll be calling my sister later today and will ask her to let me know when the seeds arrive. Angela plans to visit me in September - if you'd like to pm me your phone number Jeannine we can discuss what she could bring back for you. (My overseas calls are included in my phone package - a boon for keeping in touch with my sister and other overseas friends!).
Thanks again for your generosity :-*.
Tricia
Many thanks to Jeannine and to JayB, in anticipation. :)
To prevent myself from holding up the progress of the parcel, I've PM-ed Jeannine to let her know when I'll be on holiday, because I'd hate to prevent anyone missing an opportunity for a late sowing or two.
Jeannine, is this the best approach? I've never participated in a swap before, but I imagine you and others know best how to make things tick along.
Thanks again for your generosity, which I hope to convert into some similar seed-sharing, either with you, others on A4A and perhaps elsewhere, in due course. :)
spudbash
No probs Trica, I will do that.
Spudbash, bit confused here. This is not the swap parcel post, it is just the notice place telling everyone the seeds they chose from my squash surplus have gone out,you chose some varieties.
The swap parcel progress is on a different posting, you didn't sign up for that so it won't be heading your way, your package will be arriving in the normal way it won't be holding anyone up as it is just yours.
XX Jeannine
Thanks very much for organising this.

Thanks, Jeannine, hope, at some point, we can all send you something YOU need ;D
Most definitely
All I need is for you to grow them..when I first went over to the UK I was amazed at the lack of squash grown, now that might well have been the area I went to but reading the seed catalogues made me sad, but there is no doubt it is getting more and more popular all the time, just reading the posts on here testify to that.. so good growing ,lets spread the world with squash!!
XX Jeannine
Many thanks Jeannine for your kindness, I look forward to trying something new.
Jeannine you are a treasure. Thank you & John so much for all your kindness & hard work :-* :-* :-* :-*
Thank you Jeannine and john for your generosity and kindness. I do hope that your allotment is growing well, you have to do an updated post on that - pref with pics so we can see how you are getting on.
kindest regards
Kxx
Cheers Jeannine and John,I know several people on our plot will be converted next year there have been a few nibbles this season with a couple we are growing ,so hopefully soon such things as butternuts will be seen as staples and not exotics.
Many thanks both.
Thank you very much for all the hard work you have put into this. What are the rules for sendig stuff like seeds etc to Canada? Let me know and will try to keep my eyes peeled for things taht my interest/amuse you.
May
I am not totally sure, most folks who send me seeds just slip them intio a greetings card, I have had a few parcels but usually something else was in there too and the poster "forgot" to declare the seeds. The info that is available if for commercial importation and doesn't apply to small gardeners.

Thanks Jeannine and John for your generosity - I am really looking forward to it arriving! - and then the fun of growing something different next year... ;D

Thank you jeannie and postie Jayb.
Mine arrived today and I was like a kid in a sweet shop opening my envelope. In fact I was so excited opening my envelope I made my boys late for preschool (naughty mummy)
Thank you so much for these I am really looking forward to growing them.
Hi Jeannine seeds arrived, will let you know my progress with them next year. Many thanks
I got mine when i got home from work (via the allotment) last night.
A massive hug and thanks to Jeannine for her generosity in both seeds and spirit. :-* ;D
Another massive hug to Jayb for forwarding all the parcels to us. :-* ;D
I am really looking forward to next years growing already, the other plotholders already think i am a bit odd as i do not just grow the "normal crops" that they grow. I am already starting to get them interested in trying something different, and hopefully that will grow with each new item I introduce to them.
Kxxxxxx ;)
Jeannine, thank you so much for the seeds that were waiting for me when I got home from my holiday last night, and thank you to Jayb for acting as postman! :)
It was a great holiday, but I've hit the ground running - house is in chaos, water pipe leaking over carpet, brother worried about elderly, disabled mother's future care arrangements, plants knocked over in the wind. These seeds represent a ray of sunshine and I look forward greatly to growing them next year. :)
Just got back from my hols as well so a monster thank you to Jeannine and john and to our resident Postie Jayb ;D
2011 is looking VERY promising ;D
Thanks again
1066 :)
Also just back from holidays - also delighted to see the seeds in the post! Thanks very very much to the J's - Jeannie, John and Jayb. ;D
