Title: Do you think wood ash intensifies bloom color?
Post by: GrannieAnnie on July 02, 2010, 14:05:44
I read this somewhere and wonder if it is true
and if so, how much ash? I've saved a box of it.
Guessing though it is not good for the acid lovers.

Generally there is very little potash in wood ash and if it gets at all wet it just goes. I have never done any tests but believe that most wood ash tends to be on the alkaline rather than acid side. I would check before putting on acid loving plants.
