Post by: artichoke on July 02, 2010, 09:18:22
I have just read that Epsom salts deter slugs. Has anyone tried this?

No.  I uise the new wildlife friendly slug pellets based on ferrous sulphate.

However, a solution of Epsom samlts used as a foliar feed for ericaceous plants such as rhodos, azaleas, skimmias and camellias does give them a much needed boost of magnesium and helps keeps their leaves green and healthy.
