On the lottie at 7.30 and heard a crow "shouting" it was chasing a FOX !
I'm sure all the poultry keepers will be growling but I felt blessed.I know they have a bad press but wonderful to see.
Still not sure why the crow was in pursuit ?
how lovely! we have,we think,a few fox families at the lotty,id not seen any till sunday,a lovely healthy looking one ran across the path but 6 feet away from me with his tongue lolling out and a smile on his face (so it seemed!) i was so pleased as nearly everyone else has seen them, inc furry cubs. havnt seen any rats for a while! ;D ;D ;D
A lot of birds will mob predators, harassing them and making a lot of noise. It sometimes drives the predator off, and it warns other animals about their presence.
I've seen a clattering of jackdaws mob a cat, swooping on it en-mass like something from The Birds. Corvids are intelligent, sentient animals, I think they're just having a laugh.
