I've got Mouldy Nose (Onion white rot) again this year - get it most years. I know its almost impossible to get rid of, but i'm prepared to put up with it. This year does seem quite bad though (i think the hot weather makes it worse).
To try and save the crop, i'm contemplating lifting them now to try and force them to dry off early, even though there not really ready yet (still quite green..) - i'm hoping the hot weather will speed up the drying off, combined with lifting them early.
Has anyone else ever tried this, if so did they still store properly ??
Have you dug some up already with white rot?
IMHO they will not store if they have the dreaded rot. Pickle em!
