Ooh err.  Didn't see the article.  Should I cancel my order at the local butchers then?

According to the telegraph, so long as it is an organic bird and not just free range you will be fine.

Me neither Tim, more of a goosey chick!  ;D

Rib of beef from a local farm here this year, am salivating at the thought! (we usually do goose but fancied a change!)
Am doing rolled turkey breast too though, cos otherwise someone would complain, wot no turkey! I am afraid that has come from Tescos at half price!

We always buy ours from a local small holder who "grows his own" so to speak. Always very good.

Cheers

We have had goose on a few occasions, this year we bought it from a local (Wiltshire) free range farmer who has provided us with the best beef (Belted Galway and Aberdeen Angus) we and our guests have ever tasted. ditto pork (Gloucester old spot) so it was a bit of a shock to see on the free range label that they had come all the way from Norfolk.  I like the free range just not having it travel so far.  Down the Auction next year, but I do tend to get the red mist at auctions.......Have a cool yule you all.  Cheers,Tony.
