Stupice. It beat out all. Picked our third ripe ones today which surprised me since I was sure the hybrid Polfast would come in first. This is my first year trying Stupice after hearing you all across The Pond singing its praises. It even beat Subarctic which isn't anywhere near ready and is mighty puny and not worth planting in my estimation.
Yep, ate my first three Stupices today. A tad underripe to OH's taste, but to mine, deeeelicious.
The two varieties we grow that are usually 'first past the post' ripe are Stupice and Bloody Butcher.
Stupice is first this year, but all the others are 'coming along nicely'. ;D

My first were Gartenperle from a free packet, shame they don't taste very nice......
My first was Gartenpearl too and I agree with you it was quite tasteless!! >:(
Polfast forming here and beating the rest by a mile Anne ;)

Who in the world chooses these hideous tomato names anyway?
I'd like to try Stupice next year, so would some kind person who is growing them this year be kind enough to save a few seeds for me please? I have quite a variety of other tomato seeds I could swap.

No ripe toms just yet.....but mine were planted out a bit late again this year..Atol and Tigerella look the 'fruits most likely' at the moment.... ;D
Tricia..consider yourself as sorted for Stupice seeds... ;)...looks like plenty of those is coming on.. ;D
Thank you goodlife - I'll pm you.
