Title: Colossus peas
Post by: manicscousers on June 24, 2010, 14:46:21
ours have started producing and we will definitely be growing them again..the pods, as you can see, are much larger, the plants are 6' high at the moment, they're flowering like mad and they taste nice..only down side, if it is one, you have to catch them quickly before they go over  ;D

I'd let the peas get bigger than that.

Depends. Some do; Ne Plus Ultra is a good example; really sweet if you eat them young, and then losing much of the sweetness as they reach full size. Magnum Bonum, on the other hand, keeps its sweetness. Try it and see.

we've got to leave quite a few to dry as loads of the plotholders would like to try them, I'll leave a couple to fill the pod and see what happens  ;D
