I'm trying to increase my stock of Kirschklumpen tomatoes by potting up the removed sideshoots..... I've stuck them in gritty compost in an heated propagator on an eastern windowsill..... anything else?

Kirschklumpen tomatoes ?
Are those like
'Reisetomate' ~~~ http://www.realseeds.co.uk/vinetomatoes.html
like taste Like ?
Ensure plenty of moisture\to get root system established.
Good Luck
I have always found tomatoes particularly easy to grow from side shoots by simply sticking them straight into wet compost and then keeping them well watered for a few days until roots appear. The only snag is that the side shoots have to be allowed to grow a bit, thus sapping strength from the host plant.
Nothing fiddly or particular at all, just leave them to do their thing.
I wouldn't bother with the heated prop. I just put my in a pot of ordinary compost (not grit) and stand them in a tray of water to keep the compost constantly moist. My current ones are all outside day and night and doing fine. Leave and wait. When the roots come out the bottom pot up and carry on as normal.
I did a cutting a few weeks or one month at the most ago and it's already flowering!
I shove them in the ground, had to throw a couple I had missed, no more room ;D
I just shove them in beside the parent plant. :D
I did too. Had to take out two that were quite big today and pot them on. Good roots on both so had to top up the parent pots with fresh compost.
It will be interesting to see how well the off-shoot plants do.

Last year I just put them in water as I was clearing ground for them to go into and they rooted fine.

Well I've come back to find all six doing OK, ie they're still looking alive. Prop is unheated on eastern windowsill in kitchen.
THey're eiither a relative of the Reistomate or the same thing I'd say. no fruit yet though .... THey have a rep for few seeds so I thought I'd use cuttings to trry and get the plants into next year, saves on buying more of what was a very expensive seed (got from ebay) and a useful technique to brush up on generally.....

I rooted them in water, first time I have done it, from determinate plant Patio, mother and babies all doing well.

I like to keep them cool headed until they take.
