Title: Watering Systems
Post by: Emagggie on June 05, 2010, 22:17:05
I have had a Gardenia watering system for my wall pots and hanging baskets for the last 6 years. It has been ok  but now it is temperemental and try as I mght, I can't seem to get it to drip evenly. Some baskets/pots get water and some get nothing. I'm thinking I'll have to renew it, but all seem much the same. Can anyone recommend a reliable one please?

Just a thought, but is it possible that you could dismantle it and thoroughly clean and de-scale it? sometimes the dripper bits get clogged up, it could be that. Sometimes there's a filter built in, you can take that out and clean it. Sometimes they have a flushing system, that allows you to do these things without totally removing everything.

Put the dripperheads and the filter mesh in a bowl of vinegar for a few hours, then see how well it runs.... Gardena stuff is generally reliable, which is why it's so expensive compared to some of the generic stuff....
