We usually grow our tomatoes in 10" pots, but this year we are growing a small bush type Garden Pearl, and they are in 8".  The pots seem plenty big enough for the plants, and would probably be all right in 7".

At least six inches-preferably 8 but no need to go to 10

Thank you folks. I had read 6'' but thought it was a bit small. I will have a root & see what size I have.

Grannyanny, 6 inch is more than enough for Minibel, it will actually grow in a smaller one,it's height is  6 -12 inches, if you use a bigger pot the plant may get a wee bit bigger but not much.

Thanks Jeannine I've just had a look on Tatania's site & it say a 3'' pot will do. Which would you go for please?

Well she is a true expert  and I wouldn't doubt what she says at all,so I don't really know what to say. I knew she suggested 3 inch which is why I phrased my post as I did. I might  have been tempted to  go for the bit bigger one from a watering point of view but as I said it might grow  bigger , it really depends on what you want the plant to do. I am trying this one over the winter and would probably have used 4 inch simply because they work better for me under my lights and I am picking types that will grow in that size. Truthfully, if I had two  or three plants ready now I would give them different pots as an experiment and see what works best for you.

I would be interested to hear what happens.
