Brrr, cold on the plot today, but I needed to do some picking. Came home with a bucket full of greens. Kale, chard and spinach. Haven't even started on the curley kale or the 'nero' black kale.

Lovely yellow chard, EJ! ;D
Since the cold snap the colouring on the stems of the chard has intensified. The peach/pink coloured stems are now a shocking salmon pink, the ruby is now purple, and the yellow really is shocking yellow - the pic doesn't do it justice!
Mine's the same EJ and what a good stand-by vege for the Winter.Makes a change from Sprouts and more Sprouts.
Just be very glad you can eat any of this family. One of the tablets I have to take to stay alive makes all members of the brassica family taste extremely bitter (it intensifies the mustard oil which is found in the family).
Oh and to avoid censure by the Self Appointed Committee for Public Morals etc, lovely photos Emma!
There that is a comment on the pictures not gossip at all!
But keep taking them, Eric!! = Tim
