Always great to see photo's, you're making me really jealous  :)

Your soil seems in fine condition, as the poster above said, you've really put some hard work into it.

QuoteWhat and why are there squares around your caulis and cabbages??  It looks like sand??

It is Lime to sweeten the soil and keep the slugs & snails off.

QuoteBut Where are the weeds?

They are with Andy Pandy  ;)

QuoteWhat no fat hen?

Livestock not allowed on our plots but have plenty of SOWS thistle  ::)

Quotebet youv'e had some back ache looking after that !!

Not really got the wife to dig it...............only kidding!  8)

Quoteto get it looking that good do you not work ?

No as I said I got the wife to do it  ;D

If you mean am I retired? then the answer is yes. ;D

To be quite honest it is relatively easy to keep it that way if you work to a system and do a little often!

Tee Gee

Do you reapply the grid of lime throughout the season. I now use your method but did some weeding around my brassicas this morning should I apply fresh lime around them?

PS I love the new look of your web site  ;D

QuoteDo you reapply the grid of lime throughout the season.

No! In a week or twos time when things are established I will hoe away the weeds and this will submerge the surplus lime (if any) into the soil and thats the last time that bed will get lime until I grow brassicas in it again in perhaps three or four years time!

QuoteI now use your method but did some weeding around my brassicas this morning should I apply fresh lime around them?

If you are using the same system then the last paragraph answers this question

QuotePS I love the new look of your web site

Glad to hear it  ;D

Question for you have you found any anomalies or broken links on it. If you do could you get i touch please with the details please.

Oh I am so excited! Things on my plot look like TeeGee's this year!!
My garlic is like his! Hope it will be good underground too!
But I have more weeds sadly!
Quite agree with you TG - a little and often. This is what I did this year and it has turned out to be much more successful as a system than hours of work at a time!
Beautiful garden...

Oh my goodness teegee youve published a book. Amazing! Congratulations to you. Very well done. I have always used your almanac to search for information so I hope you sell loads of copies and make a fortune.
