Title: unidentified shrub

Hi can anyone identify this shrub. Oh any tips on adding photo!!!

It has a woody base, with new shoots this year, Leaves are green with reddiish tinge to the edges. the flower buds are  forming in the middle of a fan of leaves. I think they are going to be yellow. It had black berries last autum.

ok I have just hunted again through my RHS encyclopedia. No luck. I will get back to you guys if I have any luck with some more searches. Thanks for youe efforst. Keep thinking! x

it sounds like the one in the corner of my garden that a bird brought!  Hope you find out soon so that I'll know what mine is!

Just read back- hypericum does ring a bell- we did have one similar in a previous garden and I think tht's what it was called!
