I use ball-pool balls- got them free on freecycle but probably cheaper to buy than the purpose-made ones.

Plastic play balls are £4.99 per hundred from places like Argos (http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/3665514/Trail/searchtext%3EPLAY+BALLS.htm) they can be cheaper on ebay but it depends on the postage costs. Tennis balls also work well & are often available cheaply in bulk on ebay (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=320492161325). Both would require you to drill your own holes but that means they will fit any size cane & they work out considerably cheaper.

Hi there, I use all sorts of plastic bottles, rinsed out well & balanced on top of the canes, just rest the netting etc on top & I pin down sides with tent pegs (very cheap from Wilkinsons)

Cheap and cheerfull method...canes ..which we all have...any old lenghts of hose pipe...cut the pipe to 12" lenghts..push canes  into the pipe...either use as triangle or three siided to form required  shape..drape net..pin down or weight down net with bricks..job done...happy planting one and all... ;)
