A cherry red oriental poppy just opened. Hope it holds up awhile in the rain.

first hardy geranium- soon the borders will be bursting with colour.

Sorry no pics but my ceanothus is looking wonderful and my first alliums are out. :D

Strangely, that poppy germinated itself right beside a tiny rose of the exact same shade of cherry red.
I couldn't have matched them better myself if I'd tried.
It made me think it might be fun to propagate a whole eye-popping bed of them together.
