Title: sweetcorn question

i have planted sweetcorn under cloches which have now grown to around inch and half just wondering when to remove cloches?

I planted mine in root trainers, they are now 6 - 8" and planting out tomorrow. the variety I have grown is Lapwing

Hi, if they germinated under the cloches you have done  very well..however they are still small and won't hurt to keep warm under there, I would leave them another couple of weeks, they will grow and get stronger faster if you do. XX Jeannine

Ok i've planted mine and then looked at the weather report and it say 4 degree for tuesday night. Do i worry? ???

Night time temperature for mid suffolk on thursday is 3C. Think I'll hold off planting them out.

yep they germinated under the cloches ( well plastic bottles ) ;D in the ground looking good too! im norfolk very close to coast, think i will leave them for abit never grown them before so im pleased and dont wonna lose them.

grew mine in one of those plastic greenhouses and they were about 9 inches high when I planted them out and they are coming on great. I haven't grown them before either so was worried they wouldn't do well but so far so good. Am growing black sweetcorn too and cannot wait to see the end results of those ;D
